Thanks for the heads up about the insurance. Good to know. We have been so busy trying to convince him that we are not actually going to abandon him again, that everything else has fallen by the wayside!
As for courgettes, I definately go through phases of eating them. Have to be in the mood to eat them in a savoury dish. Funny enough though, could eat the bread all day!!!

I will probably never make courgette bread after a glut of courgettes from my mother's plastic tunnel about 20 years ago tarnished them forever in my mind! I do like them fried in a little butter with cheese grated over them served on toast. oh oh, hungry now!
Congratulations on the arrival of Charlie Bird. Totally agree with getting a rescue dog but I have two words of advice for you "pet insurance." Our beautiful stray followed a neighbour, was hit by a car and broke her leg, 11 screws, I metal plate, 2 vets (one of them a specialist orthopaedic surgeon), 6 weeks in a play pen with a lid and a 4 figure sum later and she was fine, our bank balance was not! I have heard many more expensive horror stories since. Get the insurance!
